Best Couches

I get asked all the time what couches or brands I would recommend and I figured no better time to source the community and see what exact couches you all own and love. There are so many brands, fabrics, shapes and a range of prices, it can be an overwhelming item to shop for. Couches are also a big investment and because many of us are in a phase where kids or pets are in the mix, you want one that is good quality but will last through the wear and tear for years.

Weighing comfort, price, fabric, size and configurations can be a big task when you are purchasing something you use daily and gets a lot of wear and tear. I asked our community what their favorite was and why! We included the top brands that stood out, some of which were new recommendations to us and had an overwhelming amount of submissions.

The number one submission for best couches was by far, Lovesac! This is no surprise because they really do have a great reputation for quality, comfort, durability and performance. While they are expensive, those who submitted said it was worth every penny! The configurations, styles, washability and comfort make this the ultra couch to purchase. People love that they hold up over time, most commenting they have had it for almost a decade and it still is just as good. Their philosophy is that buying furniture is a major investment for you, they build their products to be with you for the rest of your life. Durability is the trademark of this brand and they want this to be the “last couch you’ll ever need to buy”. Their Sactional is their most popular! Customize and build your perfect couch and add in different features that fit you and your families needs.

The next brand with the top submissions was The Radley Collection from Macy’s! This was a new one for me, I was honestly shook at how many people mentioned this style as Macy’s isn’t top of mind when I think of where to buy a couch. People love that this is durable, washable and so comfortable without breaking the bank. Several noted there are sales throughout the year so it becomes even more affordable. There are so many different colors and configurations to choose from, making this a great pick for a friendly price.

Interior Define was next up and these couches look so chic! Your couch is made-to-order with your choice of fabric, legs, and sizes. These sectionals are less expensive than Lovesac, and more expensive than The Radley. Their color and fabric assortment (over 150 choices) is amazing and the entire process is customizable, however, they do have stock pieces as well if you don’t have the time to order something custom made. Many noted that these withheld pets, kids, and years of wear and tear and still looks as good as it once did. A style and combination that was mentioned was The Sloan in Performance Tweed fabric.

Crate and Barrel was also submitted a ton and many noted that their couches were very durable and great quality and liked that they had over 220 different performance fabrics to choose from! A few specific styles that were called out were the Axis (which has 1800 + 5 star reviews), Lounge and Gather collections.

The last brand that was mentioned was West Elm! I love how they break out all of the different collections that are offered, it truly makes it easy to compare certain styles if you are on the fence about which ones you like better. These are also customizable! Some styles that were recommended were from the Harris Collection, and the Harmony Collection. I personally own a Harmony Sectional in the performance velvet fabrication and I am OBSESSED with it. We have had it for 5 years and with 3 kids and a lab it has lasted so well. I have 3 other friends who also own and love it.

Other brands that were submitted:

A few noteable brands that were also brought up was Costco, specifically their Thomasville Modular Sectional and the Tisdale Sectionals. And lastly Arhaus, the Kipton Style.
