2025It is almost patio season, which means prepping your outdoor space! A common request I get is for the best outdoor furniture and while I own a few styles I love, this is the perfect category to source from the community and see what you all are loving!
Creating an outdoor oasis that is both functional and an inviting vibe is so important. It is also often an investment that you want to last you for years so I asked the community what their favorite brands are for dining table sets, furniture, and rugs. Read below the top picks and why they popped to the top!
Best Dining Table Sets
Polywood was the most recommended brand for favorite outdoor dining tables, to no surprise! We bought a Polywood table three years ago and I cannot recommend them more. In the poll, those that love Polywood made a point to note that they really withstand the elements and I can attest to that! We have the 8 seater Farmhouse table set and we leave it out year round. I love this size because we host a lot and it can comfortably seat 8-10 people. While it is an investment, you 100% get your moneys worth. Another thing that is great about Polywood is that your purchase is backed with a 20 year warranty, because they are truly built to last!

Another place that was mentioned several times was Costco! Costco often has awesome furniture options you can test out right in store for a good price.
Also, I think this is an appropriate time for me to reiterate my love for my favorite outdoor kids dining table. It truly is amazing because it can comfortably sit 6-8 kids, it has a removable umbrella and the best part is it folds up compact and flat for easy storing in the off season.
Best Furniture/Sectionals
The number one mention in this category was West Elm! Several mentioned how the furniture is not only beautiful but well priced for the quality. A close second was Wayfair because they have such a large assortment of budget friendly to mid tier price point pieces and sectionals.
Polywood was also mentioned for great sectionals and furniture and I will admit I did not even realize they sold sectionals! Knowing how awesome and durable the dining set is, I can bet they would last forever. You can cover the cushions with a couch cover or store them in a deck box (shop my recommended deck box here). Polywood is also known for their adirondack chairs, and it was noted that these are the best because you can leave them out year round. They are tricky chairs to store so this is a huge benefit to buying a style that is meant to withstand the weather year round and are sturdy enough too.
Personally, we have owned this Wayfair sectional for five years and love it! We own the gray performance fabric set and it has held up really well. The couch is often on sale during big Wayfair sales, so wait for a sale to invest in it! We use this cover to protect it from the rain and the cushion covers also zip off so you can wash them. We also use these clips to hold all the sectional pieces together to prevent sliding.
In the past I have polled the community on best patio umbrellas and this Wayfair Cantilever Umbrella was highly recommended in case you also need one to add some shade to your entertaining space!
Best Outdoor Rugs
Lastly, I polled the community on their favorite outdoor rugs and in full transparency this was the least participated poll, and likely because rugs in general are so personal. I think it is worth the reminder that outdoor rugs are sitting out in the elements for months at a time, so naturally fading and wear and tear is expected. Some of the submissions mentioned Ruggable, but ironically, for as many positive submissions, there were as many negative ones. Others mentioned that Wayfair and Target were other great places to shop for affordable outdoor rugs.
